The Company

Victor Gelb, Inc. was incorporated in 1983, in Ohio, after years of previous operation by the Ekus Family.  As early as 1921, the Ekus family recognized the need to recycle materials being generated from the rubber and tire industry in Akron, Ohio, then the rubber capital of the world. Such recycling took various forms, one of which was the processing of treated tire cord fabric and other textiles into fibers used as reinforcement in a variety of rubber compounds and material composites.

The company's focus on continuous improvement has allowed it to remain a competitive high quality supplier meeting today's market requirements.  ISO certification achieved in 2007 was the result of focused improvements in all aspects of the business.  We realize that our continued success depends on meeting the challenges of this ever changing and demanding global marketplace.

Our company focuses on niche markets where our precision fibers can provide cost effective, high quality solutions in various customer applications. We continually develop and improve our operations to keep pace with the rapidly evolving industry needs and ever changing technology developments.

Victor Gelb, Incorporated has passed its second ISO-9001:2000 audit! (More)

Our attention to detail, high quality standards, and continued commitment to customer service is what separates us from our competition. We are "Totally Committed to Excellence". (more) »
